Microneedling by SkinPen

SkinPen is the first and only FDA-cleared microneedling device. Microneedling by SkinPen is a popular cosmetic procedure where a handheld device containing tiny needles is used to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin. Microneedling with SkinPen can help improve the appearance of various skin concerns, including fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, and uneven texture. The procedure is minimally invasive and typically requires little downtime.

When injected into specific muscles, neuromodulators block the release of a neurotransmitter called acetylcholine, which temporarily paralyzes the targeted muscle. This relaxation of the muscle helps to reduce the appearance of wrinkles caused by repetitive facial expressions, such as frown lines, crow's feet, and forehead lines. The effects of neuromodulators typically last for a few months before gradually wearing off, requiring further treatments for maintenance.
